Is it time to change the cam belt? on my ford escort?

36000 miles for the 1.8, endura diesel, cost depends on what motor is fitted.

when was the last time it was changed? Its kinda difficult to answer since you dont give enough details
from 拢200. its up to you if car seems fine, why fix it. i thinks this is all a big scam.



but for peace of mind, you could have it replaced,
60,000 is a good time to change , they break shortly after
your a lucky man, they shoul be changed at 36,ooo miles
36 is not correct, that for CVH, your zetec should have one around 65-70k or every 5 years.



personally i'd get it changed for piece of mind along with the tensioner.
its time to change it now as for a price you dont give enough information such as engine size, type cvh or zetec.
in most cases yes, it's time to do it. they aren't valve benders so it's not mandatory.
