I have to replace the head on a 92 Toyota 4x4 with a 22RE 4 cylinder engine. How much should it cost me?

We may also change the timing belt and water pump, how much extra is that?I have to replace the head on a 92 Toyota 4x4 with a 22RE 4 cylinder engine. How much should it cost me?Take a look at this website for parts and prices:

http://www.engnbldr.com/

Very good prices and quality parts. I got a timing chain kit (not a belt for the 22re) from them and it came with metal backed chain guides instead of the plastic ones that break and end up in the oil pan.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to get the parts from here even if you have someone else do the work, you'll save $$$ and know you have good parts going in instead of china made crap.

Here is a link to some PDF files of the factory service manual If your doing it yourself.

try a breakers yard first it could be a quater of the price new as for timing belts these vary from 拢10-拢50. just remember if you are putting on a second hand head that it is totally flat the only real way is to have it skimmed.

87-95 re shows 9.4 hours. add .5 for p/s, and .3 with a/c. it has a timing chain too. prob extra 1.0-2.0 for your added stuff at most.
