How much does it typically cost to fix piston slap in a vehicle?

i drive a 93 ford mustang 2.3 liter. there is a knocking noise when i accelerate and i'm starting to believe its piston slap. does anyone know how much this costs usually to fix?....oh and it def. not the timing belt because i just changed it. thanks!!!How much does it typically cost to fix piston slap in a vehicle?its going to csot u a could bit of pocket change.becuz then there going to have to tear down the whole block and it will take sometime.check ur valves too to see they have come off the rockers.before u take it to a mechanic.if it is a piston slap,then it probaly cost 1200 dollars and up to rebuild.

The only remedy is to rebuild the engine.
Get a rebuilt motor, no reason to rebuild this one, 1000 for the motor, 700-1000 to put it in?
