Timing belt, full tune up?

How much does it costs to change timing belt, water pump and full tune up for 2000 kia sephia. My mecanic estimated the price around 950$. Im not satisfied with the total amount, i feel like im getting robbed, what do you think? What is the fair price?

Thank youTiming belt, full tune up?Wow, a dealer wouldn't even charge that much to get it done. You should be looking at $600-$700 for all of it. If you vehicle is not over 90,000 miles, I would not worry too much about the timing belt. Check the owner's manual and it will state at what mileage the timing belt should be replaced. I know on 2000 and newer Hondas, you don't have to change the belt until at least 90,000 miles.

Also, if that is a well known mechanic, find a new one because they aren't as honest as you think!

You are getting robbed. Just change the air filter, plugs, and wires and you'll be fine for around $50.

Timing belt %26amp; water pump - 500-600

Tune up - 100-300 depending. Approx.
it depends on the parts he priced out with the job, if added in a new tensioner and idler pulleys for the timing belt that will jack the price up quite a bit, i would say that labor time on that would fall in about 6-7 hours at whatever the shop labor rate is. if the rate is $75/hr that would be $450-$525, timing belts range from about $50 to $120 and the parts for the tune up would prolly be about $100
